History of Channer's
Channer's Men's Clothiers was formed in the fall of 1997 and operated a store in Westmount Shopping Centre. Channer's moved to their present free-standing location in June 1999. Channer's Men's | Ladies | Apparel is owned and operated by Peter and Mark Channer, employing 25 people.
In the fall of 2002, Channer's expanded, doubling in size, with an addition of a ladies section offering fine women's apparel, shoes and accessories. The Ladies section is operated by owner Trudy Channer and manager Wendy Pieczewski.
Appropriately, with the addition of women's wear, the operating name changed from Channer's Men's Clothiers to Channer's Men's/Ladies/Apparel.
As one of London's premier clothing destinations, the staff continues to explore new and exciting product lines to bring the best possible selections to their clientele.
Additionally, Channer's have been very active within the community sponsoring or contributing to many local and national charity events, such as Children's Hospital, Prostate & Breast Cancer, Cystic Fibrosis, St. Joseph's Hospital, ... most recently sponsoring the charity fashion show and auction to raise funds for Ovarian Cancer. Channer's also participates in many charity Golf tournaments
Channer's offers the ability for Custom and Made-to-Measure suits, spotcoats and shirts using State-of-the-Art computerized fittings using Accu-Measure by Coppley, allowing faster more precise customizations.
Soon, Channer's will be expanding yet again, with a new store in downtown Waterloo, slated to open in Spring 2008.
